To make matters worse, the story doesn’t go exactly as it did in the novel he once read.
But far from being flustered, he remains calmly unfazed—after all, he has survived the harsh realities of graduate school and has earned a doctorate.

Gong Characters:

• Yullan Balt, Duke of the North: A nobleman cursed to become a black wolf. Trauma related to his family, he protects the cold northern territory.
  He finds himself increasingly drawn to the newly changed, intelligent side of Nikiel, whom he used to ignore.
• Raymon Boltwick, Duke: A nobleman cursed to become a black elk. His relationship with House Balt is not entirely hostile.
  He finds himself unknowingly attracted to Nikiel, whose divine power he starts to feel, despite having only argued and clashed with him previously.
• Jikari Griff, Marquis: A nobleman cursed to become a black eagle. After a betrayal by his stepmother who tried to kill him, he mostly remains in his bird form.
  Nikiel, mistaking him for an ordinary injured bird, helps him and becomes the first person he opens his heart to.
• Lucien Turun, Duke: A nobleman cursed to become a black snake. Due to being albino, he suffers from poor health and asthma. Despite this, he is the most mentally resilient of the characters.
  When Nikiel provides him with a custom-designed pair of sunglasses for his condition, they grow closer.
• ???: A mysterious being who appears in Nikiel’s dreams and speaks to him. Deeply in love with Nikiel from the bottom of their heart.

Sub Character:

• Nikiel Ossinis: The frail youngest prince of the Ossinis royal family, who is actually inhabited by the soul of a South Korean wildlife ecologist from the 21st century.
  A firm believer in overcoming all illnesses through physical training, he is extremely athletic and quite fond of animals.
  Despite having no interest whatsoever in same-sex marriage, his body grows responsive, which he tries to resolve energetically through more exercise.
