    Chapter 41

“Why are you looking at me like that, and still not kissing me?”

    Liu He was startled.

The man on the bed opened his eyes; they were clear, and he looked at Liu He helplessly.

Under Yun Jingqiu’s steady gaze, Liu He felt a little embarrassed. “Did I wake you?”

“Mm.” Yun Jingqiu said, “When Xiao He called me at home, I woke up.”

Liu He had called out rather loudly—too excited.

Being called out like that by Yun Jingqiu made him feel even more awkward.

“I wanted to see what Xiao He would do to me while I was ‘asleep,’ so I pretended,” Yun Jingqiu said with some regret. “Didn’t expect Xiao He to be so timid you couldn’t even cop a feel while I slept.”

Liu He muttered under his breath, “I’m not you.”

A smile rose to Yun Jingqiu’s face.

Looking at him, Liu He couldn’t help smiling too.

They hadn’t seen each other for a while; to say he wasn’t excited would be a lie.

Though there was that initial nervousness of not daring to touch after time apart, he relaxed quickly.

“Let me brush my teeth,” Yun Jingqiu said, getting out of bed. “I’ll kiss you after.”

He made no attempt to hide his desire.

Liu He’s chest bubbled with sweetness, and he urged, “Hurry.”

He was truly happy that Yun Jingqiu had come. If only Yun-ge had told him earlier—then he could have been excited for days in advance, looking forward to seeing him.

Not only did Yun Jingqiu brush his teeth, he also took a hot shower to drive the chill from his body.

It was freezing outside; he’d nearly been turned into an idiot by the cold. As soon as he came in, he turned on the air conditioning.

Once his body began to warm up, the fatigue he’d been carrying protested fiercely—he’d only had time to strip off his outer coat, not even to change into pajamas, before he’d collapsed and fallen asleep.

After a hot shower and a proper sleep, he felt completely refreshed.

The moment he came out, he pulled Liu He in for a kiss.

Afterward, he commented, “You taste like starch sausage. Did you eat one?”

Liu He nodded. “If I’d known you were here, I would’ve bought two.

Three yuan for one, five for two—two’s the better deal.”

Yun Jingqiu nodded gravely. “Two is the better deal.”

He was still a bit languid from sleep.

Leaving the master bedroom, he noticed the living room air was cool—the AC there had been turned off.

He cast a resentful glance at Liu He, then turned the air back on.

Liu He chuckled and didn’t stop him.

After all, he wasn’t the one paying the electric bill.

It was too cold, and neither of them wanted to cook. They curled up together on the living room sofa, sharing one blanket, leaning against each other while picking out takeout.

While they waited, Liu He learned why Yun Jingqiu had appeared here.

“Xiao He’s birthday is coming up,” Yun Jingqiu said, playing with Liu He’s hand. “I want to celebrate it with you, but at the original filming pace, I likely wouldn’t make it.”

“This drama’s schedule was rushed from the start. They originally planned to finish by year’s end, but that’s impossible on paper,” he said. “So I spoke to the director to prioritize shooting my scenes.”

As the lead, things were already arranged around his schedule; even if he hadn’t asked, they would have shot his scenes first.

But when he spoke with the director, he added that he wanted to compress his shooting progress as much as possible and wrap early.

He wanted to carve out a block of time, to spend Liu He’s birthday together, and to celebrate the New Year with him.

The director was pleased with his proposal, appreciating his professionalism.

Over the past few months, they really did speed up his filming as much as possible, leaving Yun Jingqiu utterly exhausted.

It was tiring, yes, but he’d secured a not-so-short vacation.

From today to the New Year, he had nearly two months off.

The next film would start in March—he could take his time.

After a stretch of nonstop work, he cherished this leisure all the more.

Understanding the reason, Liu He was moved, pressing close to him.

He felt guilty—he’d even been resentful recently when he couldn’t reach Yun Jingqiu because of work.

He hadn’t realized his lover was working so hard just to carve out a holiday to be with him.

Suddenly, Liu He hugged him tightly, refusing to let go.

“What is it? Moved by your ge?”

    Liu He: “You’re so greasy.”

“Such a spoiled little thing,” Yun Jingqiu murmured.

The takeout arrived quickly. Liu He released his waist to fetch it.

He’d just hugged him and realized Yun-ge had gotten much thinner—his waist was smaller.

Over the next two months, he had to feed Yun-ge back up!

Yun Jingqiu always said Liu He was skinny, and Liu He thought Yun Jingqiu was skinny.

Their greatest shared desire was to feed each other.

After eating and tidying up the trash, Liu He dragged Yun Jingqiu back to the sofa, still unwilling to let go.

    This stickiness lasted all evening.

They showered and lay down in the same bed.

Having gone so long without seeing each other, their touch ignited like dry kindling meeting a blazing fire—impossible to stop.

In the haze, woozy-headed, Liu He blinked, a little confused as he looked at Yun Jingqiu.

After a while, leaning down by his ear, Yun Jingqiu whispered, “Xiao He, where are those toys you bought before?”

The warm breath at his ear made Liu He shiver.

His foggy brain made no excuses, and his mouth, honest, replied, “In the wardrobe.”

“Good,” said Yun Jingqiu, getting up.

The warmth plastered against him suddenly disappeared, a chill sweeping over him that he didn’t like.

The room wasn’t cold—the air conditioning was on.

But Yun Jingqiu’s body was warm, warmer still when pressed close. The moment he left, the temperature difference became obvious.

That helped clear Liu He’s head—and remembering the question and his answer, a bad premonition rose.

He pushed himself up to stop him. “Yun-ge, not in the wardrobe—I misspoke
”

He hadn’t finished speaking before he saw Yun Jingqiu take out the storage box.

He opened it and dumped everything out.

Everything spilled across the bed, and a pink toy dropped right next to Liu He’s hand.

The moment it touched his skin, he recoiled as if burned, snatching his hand back.

There were so many things scattered across the bed that it made Liu He’s head spin.

Did he buy that many? Or had Yun-ge snuck more in?

When he’d packed them away before, he’d already felt shy. Now, with everything laid bare in front of both of them, he could only feel even more embarrassed.

“Which ones do you like?” Yun Jingqiu asked, gaze sweeping over them one by one.

He put away anything that went inside.

If they used those, he would get jealous.

Only some outfits and a few non-insertive toys remained on the bed.

“Is Xiao He questioning my abilities? Is that why you bought so many insertive ones?”

Liu He shook his head quickly, looking at the remaining items with a mix of anticipation and fear.

    As for doubting Yun-ge’s abilities

“I told you those were drunk words. You can’t believe them—how are you still hung up on it?” Liu He tried to defend himself.

But Yun Jingqiu wasn’t going to let him wriggle out of it.

Only now did Liu He realize that Jiang Yi’s idea—where was it bad? It was too good!

The effect was more than he could handle.

The toys were used on him, and Yun-ge kept whispering at his ear, “Want it faster?”

Yun Jingqiu bore grudges; he’d never forgotten Liu He calling him “too slow.”

When it finally ended, Liu He lay limp on the bed, not wanting to lift a finger.

Then, as Yun-ge took him to the bathroom to get cleaned up, his beastly side flared again, and he pulled Liu He down into the depths right there in the shower.

Liu He didn’t know when any of it ended—he only knew that the next day, he couldn’t get out of bed.

Only then did he realize how considerate Yun-ge had been before.

    “My waist hurts
” he moaned, sprawled on the bed.

Yun Jingqiu brought massage oil and flipped the blanket away.

Liu He wore only a pair of shorts; his bare skin was covered in ambiguous marks, and red handprints still tinted his waist—uncontrolled traces left when passion peaked.

The massage oil was cool; as it touched his waist, Liu He shivered.

Petulant, he said, “Not that—it’s too cold.”

Holding him in place, Yun Jingqiu continued pouring. “It’ll heat up in a moment.”

Spread and worked into his skin by those hands, warmth returned quickly.

The scent of the oil eased his fatigue, and Liu He drifted toward sleep.

He didn’t know when Yun-ge had learned massage, but it felt ridiculously good.

When it ended, Liu He didn’t want to move. He waved a hand. “Extend my session.”

Playing along, Yun Jingqiu asked, “How long would the guest like to add?”

“Two hours,” Liu He drawled lazily.

Under Yun Jingqiu’s exceptional hands, he dozed off again.

By evening, he still felt sore and needed Yun Jingqiu’s help to get out of bed.

For the incorrigibly unrestrained Yun Jingqiu, Liu He’s verdict was: “Beast!”

To which Yun Jingqiu only smiled and accepted the label serenely.

A soft cushion sat on the chair beside the dining table; Liu He ate a light dinner slowly.

He’d slept until noon and was now on his second meal of the day—the first had been porridge that Yun Jingqiu brought to the bedside, feeding him spoon by spoon.

With nothing pressing these days, Liu He didn’t need to run to the lab. He lounged at home for a few days, gaming and watching movies with Yun Jingqiu. Life was very comfortable.

As for those toys—once Liu He could walk on his own, he planned to pack them all up and throw them out.

He never wanted to see them again!

“What a waste to toss them. Didn’t Xiao He like these?” Yun Jingqiu teased.

“I do not!” Liu He snapped.

In one breath, he confessed why he’d bought them: “You weren’t reaching out proactively, so I used the Intimate Pay to buy some toys to see how you’d react.”

He sold out his good brother.

Who could’ve known Yun-ge would react like that!

No—Jiang Yi probably could’ve guessed, but he hadn’t said.

Jiang Yi liked buying toys; there was no way Xu Yi would have zero reaction to that.

He’d been tricked by Jiang Yi!

Realizing this, Liu He felt it was
 instructive, and also helpless.

First relationship, lacking experience—lesson learned: don’t casually buy things like that to provoke a boyfriend.

As finals approached, Liu He wasn’t too busy. After resting at home a few days, he drifted back to campus to continue his project.

Waiting at home for him, Yun Jingqiu slowly lit up his culinary skill tree.

Passing the starch-sausage stall at the school gate, Liu He stopped and told the vendor, “Boss, two starch sausages.”

“Got it~” The vendor immediately dropped them in the fryer. “That’ll be five yuan.”

Now, he had someone to share starch sausages with.
