The Villain Is Too Good at Cooking C7
by berryChapter 7
“You’re hardly in a position to give orders.”
Kwon Heesung’s gaze fell on Mujin’s hand, which was encased in a cast. His eyes were filled with deep contempt.
“You’re quite a pathetic sight. Baek Hamin dumped you and you went around bawling your eyes out, and now you’ve even fucked up your hand and crawled into some godforsaken backwater like this? For someone who didn’t know his place and dared to covet another Alpha’s Omega, your end is so miserable and pathetic that it almost brings tears to my eyes.”
His cruel words dug into Mujin’s painful, horrifying trauma like a sharp knife twisting into an open wound. Yoon Mujin clenched his teeth so hard it felt as though his jaw might crack. His rough fingers, protruding from beneath the cast, trembled.
Seeing Mujin’s mental state being crushed seemed to satisfy Heesung, and he let out a mocking laugh. Then his gaze shifted to Jeong Iwon, who was standing behind Mujin, biting his lip.
“I thought you’d found some incredibly impressive Omega out here in the middle of nowhere and were living like a hermit king. But all you managed to pick up was Jeong Iwon?”
Kwon Heesung’s eyes traveled slowly up and down Iwon’s body. Gone was the glamorous, venomous appearance he used to have. Instead, he was dressed in loose pants stained with dirt and a flower-patterned apron, making him look utterly ridiculous.
“That slut who was so obsessed with Kang Taeon that he went around leaking pheromones and spreading his legs for any Alpha who came along? Well, I suppose a crippled bastard with a ruined hand and an abandoned slut make a perfect pair. Garbage belongs with garbage, after all.”
Something inside Jeong Iwon snapped.
He had spent all this time keeping his head down and living quietly because he wanted to avoid the death that awaited him in the original story—not so some stranger could barge into the yard of the house he had bought with his own money and hurl this kind of abuse at him.
And on top of that, Kwon Heesung had viciously dug into Yoon Mujin’s wounds even though Mujin had done nothing wrong.
“Hey, Kwon Heesung.”
Jeong Iwon stepped out from behind Mujin.
His fair face, visible beneath the brim of his straw hat, had turned bright red with anger.
“What the hell are you doing barging into someone else’s house and spewing this bullshit?”
“What?”
“You’re the useless bastard who’s obsessed with Omegas and spends every night drinking and rolling around in clubs. And you have the nerve to call someone else a slut? Shove your stinking pheromones back where they came from and get the hell out of my house!”
Iwon’s furious shout rang through the yard.
Kwon Heesung’s face went blank.
He had never imagined that words like these could come from Jeong Iwon, who had always trembled in fear whenever he stood before him.
“You. What did you just say to me?”
“Are you deaf? I said get out!! Disappear from in front of me right now, before I report you to the police for trespassing!”
Jeong Iwon snatched up the hoe lying on the ground and swung it threateningly.
Faced with his ferocious momentum, Kwon Heesung instinctively took a step backward.
And then—
Thwack!
A chilling impact rang through the yard.
Kwon Heesung’s head was violently knocked to the side.
Snapping out of his daze at Iwon’s shouting, Yoon Mujin had viciously punched Heesung across the cheek.
“Ghk…!”
Kwon Heesung’s body went sprawling across the dirt.
“Even if my hand is fucked up, I still have enough strength left to smash the mouth of a bastard like you.”
Yoon Mujin glared down at Kwon Heesung and growled like a beast.
The peaceful rural life Jeong Iwon had been enjoying had just been utterly destroyed by a brawl between two lovesick second male leads.
Kwon Heesung slowly pushed himself up from the dirt.
His head was tilted awkwardly to one side, and blood trickled from his split lip. Yet there was no sign of surprise in his eyes. Instead, a cold, animalistic killing intent gleamed within them.
He roughly wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth with his thumb and gave a crooked smile.
“Heh. You think you’re the only one who knows how to use his fists?”
Born into the Ilseong Group as a member of Korea’s elite upper class, Kwon Heesung had mastered advanced self-defense and martial arts from an early age in preparation for kidnappings and terrorist attacks.
The skills he had learned by pouring enormous amounts of money into elite training were by no means useless in an actual fight.
Heesung threw off his jacket and charged.
His long leg cut through the air, flying straight toward Mujin’s abdomen.
Thud!
“Ghk!”
Mujin tried to dodge, but the dull impact sent his body staggering backward.
With his right hand trapped inside a thick cast, Yoon Mujin was effectively fighting one-handed. Against a fully healthy, dominant Alpha, a physical fight was overwhelmingly disadvantageous.
Dust flew through the air as the two enormous Alphas grabbed each other by the collars and began rolling around like beasts.
“You crazy bastard! You should’ve just stayed hidden in some corner and waited to die!”
“Shut the fuck up, Kwon Heesung!”
The Alphas’ pheromones tangled together explosively, turning the once-peaceful rural yard into a battlefield in an instant.
It was practically a fight to the death.
At this rate, it seemed as though someone would actually have to beat the other half to death before this ended.
Fuck! They’re going to commit murder in my yard!
Jeong Iwon frantically stamped his feet.
Every rational part of his brain was screaming at him to call the police, but before that, he needed to separate the two idiots beating the shit out of each other.
“Hey! Both of you, knock it off!”
Without hesitation, Jeong Iwon grabbed the old straw broom that had been propped up at the end of the wooden veranda.
Kwon Heesung had climbed on top of Mujin and was about to drive another fist into him when Iwon raised the broom and swung it with all his strength at Heesung’s broad back.
Thwack!
“Argh!”
The vicious blow landed squarely on his clothes.
Kwon Heesung whipped his head around in shock.
Of all the things he had experienced in his life, he had never imagined that the mighty Kwon Heesung would one day get his back beaten with a straw broom.
His movements froze for a split second.
And Yoon Mujin, who had spent his entire life in the ring, did not let that opening pass.
Mujin’s heavy fist slammed directly into Kwon Heesung’s jaw.
“……”
Struck squarely in a vulnerable spot, Kwon Heesung could not even scream.
His eyes rolled back.
Then his massive body collapsed onto the dirt with a heavy thud.
He had passed out.
Jeong Iwon stood there panting, still clutching the straw broom.
When he saw Kwon Heesung lying motionless on the ground, his face went deathly pale.
“Is—Is he dead?! What do we do? Should I call an ambulance right now?!”
As Iwon nervously fumbled for his smartphone with trembling hands, Mujin wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth.
He nudged the unconscious Kwon Heesung with the tip of his foot and spoke calmly.
“He’s not dead. He just passed out for a little while, so don’t worry.”
“R-Really? He’s breathing?”
“Yes. He’s breathing perfectly fine. If we leave him alone, he’ll wake up on his own.”
Only after hearing Mujin’s calm assurance did Jeong Iwon finally let out a relieved sigh.
Then there’s no reason to touch him.
If I mess with him and he wakes up and starts causing trouble again, I’ll be the one who suffers.
Having reached this perfectly reasonable conclusion, Jeong Iwon decided to simply leave Kwon Heesung where he was.
He tossed aside the broom and picked up the basket of vegetables he had left in the corner of the yard.
“Are you hurt anywhere?”
“I’m fine. Something like this will heal if I just spit on it.”
“Don’t actually put spit on it. I’ll put some medicine on you. Come inside. I’ll treat you, and then we can eat.”
Jeong Iwon simply stepped over Kwon Heesung’s body and disappeared into the kitchen as though nothing had happened.
Watching him from behind, a strange sense of relief flickered in Yoon Mujin’s eyes.
Truthfully, Mujin had been worried that Iwon might feel sorry for the injured Kwon Heesung, just as he had felt sorry for Mujin, and bring him inside to nurse him back to health.
This Omega lives alone and doesn’t even know to be wary of people.
But seeing Iwon turn away from Heesung without a second thought, Mujin felt relieved.
He patted his chest and hurried after Iwon into the house.
He, too, completely ignored the unconscious Kwon Heesung.
Night eventually fell, dark and deep.
“Ugh…”
Kwon Heesung shivered at the cool night air and abruptly opened his eyes.
His jaw throbbed as though it had been torn off, and his back was burning.
He looked around with dazed eyes and realized that he was sprawled across the dirt.
The absurdity of the situation made him let out a hollow laugh.
His expensive suit was covered in mud and dust, completely ruined.
“Fuck, seriously. They just left me lying in their yard and went inside by themselves?”
Just as he was about to force himself upright, overwhelmed by humiliation and fury—
Grrrrrrr…
An embarrassingly loud growl echoed through the silent rural yard.
It was only natural.
He had driven all the way here on an empty stomach, without eating anything since morning, and then gotten into a fight.
To make matters worse, an outrageously delicious smell was wafting out from inside the house.
The scent of sweetly braised meat and spicy stew.
Along with his hunger, an indescribable mixture of anger and resentment erupted inside him like an active volcano.
They’re treating me like this and eating dinner together without me?!
Determined to start round two, Kwon Heesung marched toward the house and violently flung open the closed door.
“You fucking crazy bastards!”
But what greeted Kwon Heesung’s furious eyes was an incredibly peaceful and cozy dinner scene.
Jeong Iwon and Yoon Mujin were sitting happily across from each other with a small dining table between them, just about to pick up their spoons.
Mujin had placed a large piece of kimchi into his bowl and was smiling faintly, while Iwon looked at him with a pleased expression.
Kwon Heesung, an intruder into their perfect little world, was momentarily rendered speechless.
“……”
At the sound of the door opening, Jeong Iwon turned his head.
Yet even when he saw Kwon Heesung standing there, fuming, he wasn’t remotely surprised.
Instead, with an incredibly calm and graceful movement, he lifted his smartphone and waved it in front of Heesung’s face.
The screen already displayed the unmistakable numbers 112.
All he had to do was press the call button.
“Get out before I call the police.”
It was a firm, cold order of expulsion.
