SAFBIAN Ch 82
by berryChapter 82
Habanâs eyes sank low.
Yes, he mustâve done it unknowingly. Thereâs no way he wouldâve dared do that with full awareness. If there had been even a trace of ulterior motive behind it, he wouldnât be sitting here so quietly right now.
Those red lips,
that soft flesh…
It was a desire he had suppressed for far too long, so it flared up instantly.
Even earlier, just from a sliver of laughter, he had gotten so hard that he had to splash cold water on himself until it subsided. Yet now, the swelling presence in his pants radiated heat once more.
âItâs fine. Itâs really nothing. Whatâs the problem?â
â…Huh?â
Haban gave a gentle smile as he looked at Dori, who asked innocently in return.
But Dori seemed to sense something purely on instinct and fidgeted in his arms. Whatever it was, it was already too late. Pretending to yawn though no sleepiness was present, he glanced nervously at Haban, as if trying to stall.
Haban wrapped his arms around Doriâs waist, as if refusing to let him go, pulling him even closer.
âToo closeâŠ!â
Dori felt his fur standing on end.
It wasnât like Haban had yelled at him or shown any anger, yet his instincts were screaming that something was dangerous right now.
He had to get away before they got even closer. Glancing behind, Dori saw a table blocking his path and twisted his body sideways, slightly disappointed.
âYou must be numb from the weight. Iâll get down now.â
âNot yet. We still have things to talk about.â
âWe can talk while sitting over there.â
âWe should speak quietly and closely. If the sound leaks through the window, someone outside might hear.â
…Well, thatâs true.
Dori gave a small nod. Then Haban gently pushed him back down onto his lap as he tried to rise halfway.
Slowly, Habanâs fingers brushed over his face.
They traced along his eyebrows, circled softly around his eyes, then moved down to his nose bridge. The motion was so deliberate, as if he were painting with a brush, that Doriâs clenched palms itched, and his toes hidden under long sleeves twitched slightly.
When the hand, which had enveloped his cheek, finally moved down to his lips, it lingered there especially long.
Somehow, Dori felt like he understood what that meant.
â…What should I do.â
âHuh, huh?â
Haban murmured it almost like a sigh. Dori instinctively responded, and his soft white skin flushed deeply red right before Habanâs eyes.
Golden eyes swaying this way and that, fluttering lashes blinking rapidlyâhaving Dori in his arms and within his grasp made it hard to feel satisfied with just that.
This time, he would be careful.
If he hadnât made countless vows not to act solely on his desires like he had in his past life, Haban wouldâve already spread those small lips and thrust himself deep into his throat without hesitation.
âSo just a little…â
And yet, even the fleeting brush of Doriâs soft tongue against his fingertip was maddening.
When he gently pressed Doriâs lower lip with his thumb, a shallow breath escaped. Dori didnât even think to push him away, simply breathing rapidly while staring up with open eyes.
Haban hesitated. If he held onto him any longer like this, he might end up doing something reckless, and yet he didnât want to let him go either.
…Damn it.
Doriâs face, bathed in moonlight, was far too beautiful.
Haban turned Dori around and pulled him back into his arms, as if to avoid looking at him. As he did, he could feel the tremble from the back pressed against his chest.
âHow about walking through the garden together tomorrow?â
His hand, which had been resting between Doriâs stomach and side, slowly slid upward.
When it reached his solar plexus, Dori inhaled sharply, and as Habanâs hand remained unmoving over his chest, Dori froze, unable even to exhale.
âYou still need to breathe.â
Saying so, Haban lowered his lips near Doriâs rounded ear and whispered so closely their skin brushed.
Dori shrank his neck at the hot breath against his nape. But the bigger problem was the increasingly obvious presence pressing against him.
âS-stop!â
Doriâs knees trembled, and his legs gave out beneath him.
âNow that Iâve become human… is it going to unfold like the original story? That terrifying, dangerous scene? I havenât even had a normal experience once in my life!â
In truth, even while spending his days with Haban seemingly without a care, Dori had been struggling with those very thoughts for days.
But ever since becoming human, Haban had been incredibly kind. Dori had nowhere else to go, and everything he possessed had been given by Haban.
In this unfamiliar world within a novel, it was only natural for Doriâwho had no one to lean onâto crumble like a soft, overripe persimmon in the presence of Haban, a strong and towering existence.
Someone to rely on and depend on. That was something even in his real life, heâd never had before.
Still, this atmosphere was too frightening.
âHngh⊠Could you maybe⊠move away a little?â
Though he had his clothes buttoned tightly, Habanâs own robeâlight and airy and left open carelesslyâhad slipped over Doriâs hands pressed against his thighs. Judging from the sensation on his back, he was probably touching Habanâs bare skin now. It felt as if they were lying under the same blanket, embraced.
The air was growing increasingly humid and suffocating. To block any further advance, Dori half-turned his body and pushed against Habanâs chest to create distance. Against his palm, he could feel Habanâs heart pounding intensely.
It beat so fast and hard, he couldâve mistaken it for his own.
âWhy are you laughing?â
Haban asked, his voice strained as if suppressing something.
Ah. So thatâs it.
Only then did Dori realize that he was laughing.
âI donât know… Itâs just, Haban, youâre strange.â
Haban was supposed to be frightening. A selfish, cruel person. Someone whose very presence should make him want to run away.
â…Haban, do you like me?â
At those words, Haban looked up.
His jaw tensed as if holding something back, and when only his pitch-black pupils slowly dropped down again, Dori felt as though a giant shadow had engulfed him.
Before he could even attempt to flee, Haban pushed him down and looked down from above. Dori inhaled sharply. The sudden reversal and the shift in Habanâs mood made his chest tighten.
And thenâ
âThis really is so different from the original…â
Even as he laid him down, Haban had cradled him gently so his back wouldnât hit the floor too hard. And now, with Dori lying on a cushion, Haban used his palm to keep the back of his head from touching the ground due to the short distance.
In the original, Haban had stripped Dori anywhere, heedless of where they were, and taken his body rough enough to scrape his skin.
Habanâs eyes curved into a soft smile.
âFirst, we should finish the conversation we started.â
âW-what conversation?â
âThe thing you said you would give me earlier.â
â…Huh?â
Haban said this sweetly.
But that peaceful-looking expression was a lie. His eyes burned with desire, and the heavy presence between their legs radiated heat. More dangerous than his fully exposed torso was the hardness beneath his clothes.
âIf thereâs nothing you particularly want to give me, Iâll just take what I want.â
He toyed with Doriâs messy bangs as he said this. Of course, he didnât really mean to push it. He intended to stop, say it was a joke, and let him goâuntil a brief contact brushed the edge of his lips and jawline like the touch of down feathers.
âWha, wha?â
Apparently shocked by his own action, Dori blinked rapidly. Then suddenly, he started squirming, trying to crawl away backwards.
âWhere are you going?â
Haban immediately caught Doriâs arms and pinned them above his head. Then he kissed him briefly, almost as if pressing down.
Their lips met softly, warmly.
It wasnât enough to simply press their lips together. Haban pulled Doriâs head in deeper and kept burrowing in.
âHnghâŠâ
A faint moan escaped as Dori trembled powerlessly. The sudden loss of breath, the strange pleasure blooming inside himâall of it was overwhelming, and his eyes grew moist.
Haban pinned his thighs between his own so Dori couldnât move at all and momentarily pulled back. But as Dori parted his lips to breathe, Habanâs thick tongue took the opportunity to plunge right in.
âMm, hngh!â
Startled, Dori tried to retreat, but Habanâs tongue entwined with his, exploring his mouth wildly.
The narrow space of his mouth was hot, the saliva sweet. Haban restrained the desire to go even deeperâto fill him to the throat.
â…S-stop.â
Dori finally understood what it felt like to be swept away.
There hadnât been a single pauseâlips pressing, tongues pushing inside. He hadnât even had a drink, yet he felt utterly intoxicated. His limbs went limp like they werenât his own.
Just when he felt he might choke, Haban finally pulled back. Dori gasped desperately for breath.
âJust a little, just a little more.â
Haban urged him, and Doriâs hazy eyes made him seem dangerously vulnerable.
âNo, no moreâŠâ
Poof!
In that instant, his ears popped out. Seeing the long ears, Haban flinched in surprise, and Dori, more startled, let out another poof! as his tail emerged.
Tears welled up in Doriâs eyes, and thenâ
Poof!
He transformed into a fox.
âD-Dori.â
I told you not to.
I told you to stop.
…Hrrrrng.
Dori smacked Haban with his front paws as if in reproach, then leapt onto the bed. Diving beneath the covers, he buried his face in his front paws, overwhelmed by embarrassment, his hind legs flailing behind him.
Half his body stuck out from under the blanketâhis kicking hind legs, twitching butt, and wildly swaying tail, all fully visible to Haban.
The next morning, Dori stubbornly remained in his fox form.
âWouldnât it be time to stop sulking?â
Pop!
Dori turned his head the other way as if to say âDonât be ridiculous.â Then he glanced sideways at the table full of food and gulped.
âWhy did it have to be all my favorites?â
Refusing to sit at the table, he stayed on the floor in fox form. Haban placed food down for him, but Dori simply scratched at the table with his claws.
âI said I was sorry.â
Even if you apologize! So what!
It was my first time… And the end of my first kiss had me transforming into a fox from sheer shock! It was so humiliating and embarrassing.
Dori sniffled with a small whimper.
âIf you wonât eat with me around, Iâll go ahead. Let me know when youâre done eating.â
In the end, Haban conceded. He gave instructions to Haewon to watch over the fox, then stepped outside. Only then did Dori finally begin devouring the food in a frenzy.
âYou really are stubborn.â
Haewon, clearly baffled, served him more food. Dori let out a muffled cry of frustration, his cheeks stuffed full.
âWhuuung, whuuuuung.â
âYeah, donât talk with your mouth fullâyouâre getting food everywhere.â
