SAFBIAN Ch 84
by berryChapter 84(Mild Nsfw)
Why hadnât I noticed it from the beginning? Itâs so obvious now.
Dori slowly opened his eyes. As he blinked a few times, the darkness gave way, and he saw eyes darker and deeper than the night.
ââŠDid you have a nightmare?â
No wonder he hadnât come even though it was already late into the night. As the emperor, he mustâve been handling affairs of state until late.
His black hair, slicked forward as though freshly washed, still held some moisture. Thankfully, he was properly dressed in his sleeping robe.
Haban, lying on his side and supporting his head with one hand, met Doriâs gaze. He remained about a handâs breadth away, not moving closer.
The moment Dori saw Habanâs face, he felt relievedâyet, inexplicably, a wave of resentment surged up.
âI didnât want to wake you for no reason, but it seems youâve woken up anyway.â
Unaware of those emotions, Haban gently pulled up the blanket Dori had half-covered himself with, tucking it up to his neck. Then, just like the night the assassins had attacked, he began patting his chest slowlyâjust as he had when heâd held the fox in the tent.
And yet, the very nightmare that Dori had just awoken from had featured Habanânot kind and gentle like now, but cold and terrifying, telling him to open his mouth and roughly invading him without care.
At the memory, Dori spoke in a brusque tone.
âWhy did you sneak in and stare at me like that? You startled me.â
âDid I? Why?â
âBecause I fell asleep alone and then suddenly someone was beside me.â
âYou really worry about strange things. Who besides me could possibly enter this room?â
A faint smile played on Habanâs lips. It was the look of someone indulging a childâs tantrum.
Dori, eyes misty with lingering tears, looked at him before biting his lower lip.
âYouâll hurt yourself if you keep doing that.â
At those words, Haban clicked his tongue.
His expression showed displeasure at Dori biting his lip, but he didnât reach out to stop him. Perhaps he sensed something was off, seeing how Dori flinched at even the smallest sound or movement.
Even in the darkness, Dori could clearly see his expression, so he muttered sulkily.
ââŠI thought it was an assassin.â
ââŠâ
âThe ones who attacked you⊠theyâre all dead, right?â
Haban, who had been silent for a long while, lifted the edge of the separate blanket he was using.
And then, Dori hesitated for a moment before slowly slipping out from his own covers and into Habanâs arms. The arms that wrapped around him, pulling him close, felt reassuring and strong.
âSeems I shouldnât have brought you with me after all.â
Haban exhaled softly, regretful that heâd brought Dori along to the altar.
âI was actually happy because I felt like I helped HabanâŠâ
He really was. He had always been someone uselessâboth in reality and in the novel.
Dori opened his mouth as if to say something but hesitated, then ended up murmuring to himself under his breath.
But as he moved his hands slightly, perhaps Haban thought he was trying to escape, and the arms around his torso tightened even more. The suffocating pressure shouldâve been uncomfortable, yet it made him feel more at ease.
ââŠWhat a strange feeling. The scariest person in the novel is now the one protecting me most strongly.â
The room was so quiet that he could hear Habanâs heartbeat clearly. Had there been a clock, the ticking of the second hand would have sounded thunderously loud in the silence.
As he remained in Habanâs human form embrace, he began to feel embarrassed. Maybe I should just turn back into a foxâbut just as that thought crossed his mind, Haban gently stroked his cheek and said:
âFinally, I get to see your face properly.â
âHuh?â
âYou kept avoiding me.â
âWhat are you talking about? We saw each other yesterdayâŠâ
Realizing too late, Dori trailed off mid-sentence and bit his lip again. Heâd said something he shouldnât have.
Thatâs right. They had their first kiss, and in the middle of it, he ran out of breath and turned into a foxâwhat an absurd incident.
Dori frowned in dismay. But then, the hand that had been stroking his cheek slid down his neck and began to fiddle with the ribbon on his robe.
âDid you not like it?â
Haban was asking if he regretted what happened yesterday.
ââŠNo.â
Dori shook his head after a brief hesitation.
It had been awkward and embarrassing, but he hadnât disliked it. In fact, he had been so preoccupied thinking about Haban and replaying last night in his head all day that he hadnât even left his chambers.
âThen thatâs all that matters.â
Haban whispered that, eyes glinting with desire, not once taking them off Doriâs face, as if searching for a reaction.
âStill⊠donât you think youâre moving a bit fast?â
We kissed just yesterday! And now, already this?
âIf we like each other, what does it matter?â
As he said that, Haban raised his upper body halfway. His shadow loomed over Dori from above, blocking out even the faint light, darkening the room further. Yet, Dori felt no fear. He reached out and wrapped his arms around Habanâs waist.
âHaban.â
âHow could someone so fearless exist? What if I do something to you like this?â
âI⊠itâs not like I donât knowâŠâ
âHaaâŠâ
Haban brushed a hand over his face before slightly lowering his head. His lips brushed Doriâs forehead lightly, then withdrew.
It felt completely different from yesterdayâs intense and passionate kiss. Then, he pressed his lips once, twice, onto Doriâs brow, the corners of his eyes, and the bridge of his nose.
âWhat are you, hngh, doing?â
Rather than arousing, it felt far more ticklish.
At first, it had been just thatâŠ
âAh, ngh!â
Before he knew it, Habanâs tongue was licking across his eyelids, earlobes, and down his nape.
âS-Stop! Why do you keep licking thereâŠ!â
People usually think places like that are gross!
As Dori tried to push him away, Haban caught his wrists and pinned them above his head, planting more kisses all over his face.
And then their lips met again.
âHhng!â
Dori instinctively closed his eyes.
Haban rubbed his wet lips over Doriâs without pause. Worried he might turn into a fox again from breathlessness like last time, he periodically parted their lips to let his hot breath flow into Doriâs mouth.
Still, it wasnât enoughâDori shook his head vigorously in desperation.
Haban reluctantly released Doriâs lower lip, only to grab his chin and force his mouth open. The moment Dori gasped for air, Haban plunged his tongue deep inside again.
The heat rising from their lips spread to Doriâs fingers and toes. Their last kiss had already been overwhelmingly sensual, but this was on a completely different level.
âNh, hngâŠâ
Haban pushed his own saliva into Doriâs mouth with his tongue, thick and heavy as it delved in deep, nearly blocking his throat. It felt like he wouldnât let him breathe unless he swallowed it. Persistent and unrelenting.
Finally, after twisting and tangling together, their tongues parted.
ââŠKuh!â
Was a tongue⊠always this obscene?
âHaah, haah. S-Stop!â
âSlowly. Youâll pass out at this rate.â
Haban smiled gently. Dori was panting heavily while Haban looked completely composedâit was infuriating.
âItâIt touched!â
Maybe because they were pressed so closely togetherâ
He became suddenly aware of their lower bodies pressed tight. Something firm had grown thick and heavy against Habanâs muscular thigh.
The more Dori squirmed reflexively, the more their skin rubbed together, heating things up further, making it grow even larger. He didnât know what to do.
His face flushed all the way to his ears, and with his now-free hand, he tried to cover his mouth. At that moment, Haban slowly pulled at the ribbon on Doriâs robe. The loosely tied knot came undone effortlessly.
As Dori took in a tense breath and let it out, his chest rose and fell visibly.
The thin sleeping robe, so light and sheer it was nearly see-through, slipped off both shoulders the moment the knot was undone.
His pale chest and flat stomach were instantly exposed.
When even the lower half of his robe was removed, his shapely sex was already drenched from repeated stimulation.
Haban silently gazed down at the soft, milky body for a long while. Then, he gently stroked across it. The ornament that had once adorned his chest, the markings on his thighsânone of them were there anymore.
âŠOf course not.
A rush of complicated emotions swelled inside Haban.
But he quickly repressed them all and hastily pulled out his own member. It was already so engorged that it hurt from the pressure, and it sprang free with a thump.
Grasping both his and Doriâs members in one hand, he could feel the trembling of Doriâs muscles as they flinched violently.
When he rubbed the glans, Dori let out soft moans and turned his face into the pillow.
âHaa, ngh, uuhâŠâ
Sparks danced in his vision. He had touched himself before, but the callused palm scraping against him made it hard to breathe.
Was this normal?
Was it supposed to feel like this?
Even running madly across the snowy mountains hadnât left him this breathless.
Dori placed his hand over Habanâs.
That made Haban pause brieflyâthen he rubbed and stroked even harder.
âW-Wait, huff⊠not yetâŠâ
Just as he was about to climax, Haban pressed down firmly with his thumb, making Doriâs calf muscles spasm. The blocked release intensified the pleasure unbearably.
âHaban, I⊠I canât⊠anymore!â
Dori clung to him in desperation. His lower abdomen clenched painfully from the overwhelming tension.
Finally, as Haban wrapped his lips around Doriâs chest and sucked deeply, he let go of his handâand spurt! Dori came, his whole body sinking like soft fruit as a long, sticky release spattered out.
âNgh.â
Soon after, Haban let out a short groan as he spilled thick fluid across Doriâs belly.
Haa, haa.
Their ragged breaths overlapped once more.
