TGIC Ch 96(NSFW)
by berryChapter 96(NSFW)
Wearing a bathrobe and toweling off my damp hair, I stepped out of the bathroom.
Vasily was nowhere in the bedroom, so I walked further to the living area. There he was, seated in a chair, gazing quietly out the window at the city below.
As I approached, I asked,
âWill you be showering too, Esper?â
âI should,â he replied, rising to his feet. But when his eyes landed on me, he stoppedâhis gaze lingering on my exposed collarbone where the bathrobe had fallen slightly open.
Startled, I snapped the front closed, frowning.
Vasilyâs eyes remained fixed on me for a moment before he finally slipped past and entered the bathroom, closing the door behind him.
I returned to the bedroom and lay down on the bed, hearing the sound of running water from the other room. It was dangerous tonightâI needed to stay alert. And yet, this bed felt unsettlingly comfortable. I fought against the heavy drowsiness tugging at me by forcing myself to scroll aimlessly on my phone.
How long was I supposed to wait like this? It would almost be easier if the Gate just opened sooner, I thought with a bitter breath.
The sound of water stopped; a few moments later came the shuffle of slippers dragging on the floor. Turning my head, I froze.
Vasily had come out fresh from the shower, droplets sliding down his bare skin. Bare.
My eyes widened, and I whipped my head away.
âW-why arenât you wearing anything?â
His calm response:
âWhy are you acting surprised now? Iâve always slept naked.â
Sleeping?
That hadnât been in my plan. Normally, Vasily only slept deeply after guidingâand then, he was so out that even if I left, he wouldnât notice. If he fell asleep now and failed to sense the collapse, I might end up buried alive under the ruins.
âI thought you could only sleep when being guided.â
âThatâs not always true,â he said with a smirk. âWhen Guide Kwon Gidam is beside me, I just⊠get sleepy.â
I blinked in disbelief. This was news to me.
Leaving me stunned, Vasily switched off the lights and climbed into the bed.
The urgency hit me like a slap. I needed to keep him awake. If he slept, weâd both be doomed.
âEsper, what was that event you were supposed to attend this afternoon?â I asked quickly.
âOhâthat? Dinner with the President.â
ââŠ?â
That floored me. He hadnât been exaggerating? The âhard-to-skip eventâ heâd mentioned earlier⊠really had been dinner with the President?
âAnd thatâs something you can just cancel?â
âYou told me not to go, didnât you?â he replied nonchalantly.
âWell, yes, butâŠâ
A dinner like that⊠shouldnât be the kind of event you just brushed aside. My fluster must have shown, because he continued,
âDonât worry. We agreed to reschedule.â
Now that I thought about it, Vasilyâs contract with the Korean government was tied to the Presidentâs tenure. I had always assumed that when it ended, he would leave for another country. But now⊠with the suppression chip in my neck exposed, and the way he carried himselfâit felt different.
Would he stay, as he had in my past life?
I needed to know.
âWill you remain in Korea even after your contract expires?â
âMy Guide is here. You think Iâd leave to some other country?â
ââŠI thought that might still be possible, so I wanted to ask.â
âThen why donât you come with me, wherever I go?â
ââŠI prefer Korea.â
Leaving wasnât an option, thenânot for him. I tried steering the conversation away with a clumsy deflection. He chuckled lowly at that.
But watching such certainty in his eyes only made me wonderâwhy? Why was he so stubbornly attached to me? Our matching rate had never been properly measured.
ââŠWhat if you found a better Guide in another country?â I asked.
âKwon Gidam.â
He cut me off sharply, calling my name. His voice, low and resonant, made me clamp my lips shut.
âThat will never happen.â
His conviction radiated like iceâabsolute, immovable.
And I had no response, no words.
Silence stretched between us. We rarely ever spoke outside official business. Personal talk was even more alien. My lips felt dry as I floundered for something more to say.
ThenâsuddenlyâI noticed. Too quiet.
I whipped my head toward him. Had he fallen asleep?
Noâmy eyes met his glowing, silver-gray gaze in the dark. Laying side by side, staring at one another, the air between us thickened.
I averted my eyes first. The rustle of bedding followed as he movedâand though I didnât look, my senses screamed the nearness of every breath, every subtle shift.
His weight fell closer, a hand planting by my head. Our eyes would meet again if I opened mine. Instinct drove me to clamp them shut, feigning sleep.
âGuide Kwon Gidam. You do know youâve been acting suspicious all night.â
Thank God my eyes were closed; he couldnât see my trembling irises.
ââŠI donât know what youâre talking about.â
âYou dragged me all the way to this hotel. And youâre still going to say nothingâs going on?â
So he had noticed. Maybe it wasnât impossibleâmaybe telling him the truth and asking for help would be best.
But before I could gather myself, something soft brushed my lips.
ââŠHh?â
A cold, gentle tongue traced against me. I startled, eyes flicking openâonly for Vasilyâs face to fill my sight, kissing me.
Even in the dark, his silver hair glimmered like spilled moonlight. Long lashes rested against pale cheeks as his eyes stayed closed. Handsome, serene⊠It overwhelmed me.
He misunderstood.
I wanted to grab his arms, shake my head, insist this wasnât itâbut my hands faltered, falling away.
Why couldnât I push him away?
Because⊠the tender friction of lips, the way my heart crashed thunderously in my chestâit felt far too good.
Closing my shaking eyes again, I parted my lips. His tongue slid smoothly inside, brushing and curling around mine.
The teasing strokes made me shiver, faint moans breaking loose despite myself. Then his hand slid under my robe. Long cold fingers traced up my leg.
âA-ah⊠hnnghâŠâ
I should have been on edge, waiting for the Gate to open, but insteadâI was beneath Vasily, gasping, mind dissolving.
Fingers grazed higher, slipping along hypersensitive muscles untilâhis broad hand cupped me, firm.
âAh!â
I clutched at his shoulders in panicâbut every flex of those sharp muscles only spurred the heat in me further.
âV-Vasily⊠waâwaitâŠâ
I tried to object, tried to pull the words together. But before I could speak, his lips smothered mine again.
Easily suppressing my weak resistance, Vasily kept kissing deeply while his hand moved, stroking me steadily.
The soft, slick sound of skin echoed faintly through the dark. Already, in mere moments, I was leaking pre-fluid down his hand.
As his rhythm grew hotter, he suddenly paused mid-kiss. His eyes opened on mine, lips parting as he murmured quietlyâ
âAh. So this was it.â
What did he meanâ?
My ragged breath hitched as I stared back into those cold, luminous eyes. Then his lips devoured me again, harder.
âMmphâ!â
The kiss plunged deeper, rougher, tongues tangling, saliva spilling messily down my cheek.
Then his teeth latched onto my lip, biting sharply until pain stung through me. I jerkedâbut before I could break away, I felt it.
The air itself froze. A wave of chilling aura filled the suite like a blizzard.
Eyes flying open, I saw itâhis irises, no longer gray, but glowing icy blue. Behind them, the ceiling was frosting over, shards crackling into being across the plaster.
And in his gazeâanger.
The room shuddered violently. I knew instinctively what it meant: the Gate had opened. Vasilyâs power had stabilized the entire structure in ice, holding it together even as it should have collapsed.
âKhâ!â
Even amidst the chaos, his hand still gripped me tightly, stroking harder. The sudden jolt made me cry out, body convulsing.
He was kissing me still, tongue overwhelming mine mercilessly, while outside the building groaned and quaked.
I clung to his arm, terrified, delirious.
âHhhhnnâŠ! Aghhhâ!â
Fear and lust tangled chaotically in my skull. Every quake of the building twisted into jagged pleasure tearing through my body.
âA-ahhh!â
His nails scraped firmly over the tip. My head snapped backâbursting into climax, shuddering uncontrollably.
My shaft convulsed, spilling thick pulses into his icy grip.
