    Chapter 13

He was supposed to be the one hoping the other would come again. It wasn’t the physical intimacy he looked forward to, but the guiding that came with it. That was why he nodded at the man’s words, saying he would come again. There was no denying the dark, selfish desire behind it.

But if that made the Guide ultimately unsafe, then it was no longer just desire—it was greed. It was something he should never covet. That was why he was able to suppress his wants and speak words of concern, telling him not to come again.

With a gloomy face, he sat down next to him. The soft comfort of the bed was the only thing offering him some solace.

Even then, since there was no response or reaction, he suddenly wondered what the man was thinking. He turned his head and stared blankly at him. Aiden was also looking at him. Their eyes met directly. When Aiden smoothly lifted the corners of his lips and tilted his head slightly, pretending to lean on his shoulder, his hair shimmered and scattered softly. Yet, even then, their gazes never broke, and that was strange.

    [He’s being so damn attractive.]

That thought made him nearly gape in shock. W-what…?

“Thank you for worrying about me.”

[Shit, he’s cute. Too cute. Cute. Cute

.]

“But I still want to see you, Jaeha.”

    “

”

The gap between his inner thoughts and the gentle words that came out of his mouth was so wide that he couldn’t react. He just blinked blankly. W-what? He was so absorbed in reading Aiden’s thoughts that he couldn’t focus on what he had actually said.

Objectively speaking, Jaeha wasn’t cute at all. In fact, he had often been told that he didn’t match his build and looked too masculine. Aiden’s tastes were, in many ways
 a bit
odd. His head was starting to spin.

    “I came hoping for something.”

    “

For what?”

    [To fuck.]

“To spend time getting to know you, Jaeha.”

    “

”

Time to get to know each other? Please don’t lie… The more he looked into his eyes, the clearer the image became—him underneath, blushing and crying—and he had no choice but to squeeze his eyes shut.

A faint laugh came from beside him, probably reacting to something Jaeha had done.

Should I just kick him out…?

    “

”

No. Pull yourself together, Song Jaeha.

You were in a position to take advantage of this. Even if you didn’t know how to take advantage of anything.

While Jaeha was locked in internal conflict, he suddenly felt a weight on his shoulder. His hair brushed gently against the back of Jaeha’s neck, tickling softly. Hesitating, Jaeha rolled only his eyes and saw Aiden leaning on his shoulder with his eyes closed.

Aiden’s hand slid over to the one resting on Jaeha’s knee and subtly touched it. Like he was debating whether to lace their fingers together, the gloved tips of his fingers curled and grazed the back of Jaeha’s hand.

    It tickled.

In any other situation or place, it would’ve been a heart-fluttering scene. In truth, Jaeha’s heart was thudding loudly. Honestly, it wasn’t the skinship that excited him, but the guiding. He was so fixated on the idea of guiding that it took him a moment to even register that he was holding hands with a man.

When Jaeha’s hand curled slightly, Aiden slid his fingers in and held it. Maybe because of what Jaeha had said earlier, Aiden didn’t initiate a guide. Still, the unique warmth and residual presence of a Guide was enough to make Jaeha’s body melt. Since it wasn’t an actual guide, he didn’t feel guilty about doing something the boss had forbidden.

“You seem to like guiding a little too much for an F-rank. Are you sure you don’t need it?”

    “I don’t need it

”

His answer was heavy with lingering desire, and it came out after a satisfying sigh. Aiden, staring quietly at Jaeha, tilted his head slightly and kissed along Jaeha’s jawline. Smack, smack… With each soft, gentle kiss, one of Jaeha’s eyes slightly crinkled.

    “Hey, Aiden.”

    “Yes?”

    “If I do well

”

The tingling in his fingertips was gone. His head didn’t hurt, and his insides didn’t feel like they were tearing apart. All of his senses became sharper. Not only the aftereffects of chronic guiding deficiency, but even the side effects of suppressants seemed to have vanished.

Swallowing hard at the sudden realization, Jaeha remembered how dazed he’d felt when he handed Aiden that Sex on the Beach. But as Aiden kept sending increasingly obvious signals, it finally hit him.

    This was—

This man was the biggest opportunity and stroke of luck in his life.

This man wasn’t some kind of trap

“No, I mean, if I’m good at it. Then.”

    “Then?”

    “

Would you keep doing this with me?”

    “Haha.”

He laughed. A loud, clear laugh, like he had just heard a hilarious joke. Then, using his hand that wasn’t holding Jaeha’s, he pushed Jaeha down. The touch was light but oddly forceful.

Jaeha didn’t resist. He let himself sink into the soft bed. He thought Aiden would lie down beside him and talk, but instead, Aiden stayed sitting on the bed, looking down at him.

    “

”

    “

”

He was definitely smiling neatly, but why did it bother him?

Maybe it was the cheap fluorescent light shining from behind Aiden, creating a backlight that made him look more menacing. Or maybe it was the dark emotions swirling in his curved eyes, emotions far more sinister than usual.

Jaeha wanted to read his thoughts, but couldn’t. That meant Aiden wasn’t thinking anything—but somehow, that was even more unsettling.

“Are you saying you want to be my lover, or just sex partners?”

    “Of course the latter!”

He panicked at the softly spoken question and quickly blurted out an answer.

He was anxious that Aiden might think he was some brazen, delusional guy. How could he dare hope for that position? Aiden was Korea’s only S-rank Guide. From a great family, incredibly capable. And he—he was an orphan, a nobody, a background villain at best. If anything, villain number 23 would be the most accurate role. They were worlds apart.

Aiden’s eyebrows lowered slightly. The expression was ambiguous, so Jaeha couldn’t tell if it was relief or disappointment.

“So basically, you’re saying you just want to fuck.”

    “

”

Wasn’t that what you came for? Given that he’d read Aiden’s overt intentions, the remark felt oddly misplaced. Then Aiden whispered with a chuckling voice.

“Usually, people go on a few dates, kiss a few times
get a feel for things before jumping in.”

    “

”

“This might be your first kiss, but apparently not your first time, huh, Jaeha? You don’t look like it, but you’re surprisingly easy.”

The indignation was short-lived. Then he realized—ah, that’s right. Even if he’d read Aiden’s true intentions, that didn’t make them Aiden’s actual consent.

It was Jaeha’s chronic flaw. He had a tendency to assume people’s inner thoughts were their actual words or intentions. Even though he was aware of this problem, it was hard to fix.

    “Well, anyway

”

He’d been so distracted by Aiden’s guiding that he forgot something very important. Aiden leaned in and whispered in an even lower voice, his cheeks flushed with color. Despite his obviously pleased expression, Jaeha felt like he was standing in front of his boss—terrified.

    [Ah

]

    “Let’s fuck first and see.”

[Why does this make me feel like shit?]

    Jaeha admitted it.

Right now, for some reason, he was scared.

But even so, despite being so scared he thought he might die, he had to ask. Because the image in his mind was just too vivid.

    “Um

”

    “Yes?”

    “

Am I on bottom?”

    “

”

    Then Aiden smiled shyly.

“You think you can fuck me well?”

    “

”

No. He was too overwhelmed to say anything.

    “Hah, huh—”

    “Breathe through your nose.”

His bold claim that he was good felt hollow. He didn’t need to lead at all—the man guided him skillfully. This was the third kiss of his life. All with Aiden. Naturally, he picked up Aiden’s methods as they kissed.

At first, Aiden bit his lower lip. Then he licked it. Then slowly pushed his tongue into the space between their lips. His thick tongue gently scraped along the edges without hurting. Apparently the tongue had tons of nerves. The warmth, the dampness, the unfamiliar sensation—every time those textured bits of flesh rubbed against each other, a tightness formed in his lower belly. Goosebumps rose.

    “Haa

”

He was aware of the faint frown from concentrating so hard, but he couldn’t relax his tense body. Their lips parted. Their eyes met.

[I want to bite your tongue off. Wonder if you’d get scared if I made you bleed

]

    Of course I would!

He couldn’t answer, but his face crumpled into a clear frown. Probably the same expression he wore when looking for mercy from the boss. That usually got him off the hook once or twice.

The man’s gaze remained fixed on him.

    [Fuck.]

    “

”

[I want to fuck you. Fuck you so I can XXX and then XX

]

Apparently, that didn’t work on this guy.

    “Don’t be so eager.”

He whispered with a flushed face.

    “I’m not being eager

”

    “You’re acting cute

”

    “

”

He wasn’t even listening. Though clearly aroused, he didn’t look unsightly.

With a face flushed red, he giggled and began unbuttoning Jaeha’s dress shirt. No—ripping it would be more accurate.

    Snap, snap.

Buttons popped and flew in every direction. Even though working under his boss had freed him from poverty, Jaeha was still basically a regular citizen. The sight shocked him. Even while hazy from Aiden’s guiding, that snapped him back to clarity.

    “Hey, Ai-Aiden!”

    “Yes, hold on.”

Aiden took Jaeha’s desperate call as a mere complaint and only stopped after practically tearing the shirt to pieces.
